Domestic Violence Services Coordinator & Advocate

HELP of Door County - Sturgeon Bay, WI

BIO

Milly Gonzales currently resides in Southern Door County with her husband Rudy and four children. Milly came to Door County seeking an amazing place where she and Rudy could raise their children. Almost 11 years later they can’t imagine living anywhere else and are now proud to call Door County home. Milly has worked in the Domestic Violence field for over 8 years. For the past 3 years Milly has worked as an Advocate and Domestic Violence Direct Services Coordinator for HELP of Door County. Previously to that, Milly served on HELP’s board of directors as Vice-Chair. She also volunteered for multiple organizations throughout the County. In 2018 Milly was honored with the Anne Kok Social Justice Award given to someone who champions social justice and change. This year Milly was one of 10 graduates from End Abuse Wisconsin’s WE LEAD Academy. She also serves as the Northeast Regional Director of Women’s March Wisconsin. In her free time from work, and statewide activism and advocacy she loves to spend time with her family gardening and gaming. She also enjoys exploring Door County and our numerous state parks.
